With ‘KFC Radio’ Ending, Barstool Sees Another Longtime Title Exit Its Lineup

The curtain is coming down on the long-running Barstool Sports podcast “KFC Radio.” Hosts Kevin “KFC” Clancy and John Feitelberg have announced they will wrap production of the series at the end of the month. “We’ll spend our time reminiscing and a little bit of nostalgia, and kind of wrap things up nicely with a bow. Then on January 1, we’ll start the new year fresh with new projects and new content and a whole new page,” Clancy told listeners in the latest episode. He didn’t offer any details of what the pair plans for their next project.

The three-times-a-week podcast was one of Barstool Sports’ original series, launching in 2012. It describes itself as “the quintessential bar conversation brought to podcast form” with listeners contributing to the show by leaving voicemails. “It’s something we’ve been talking about for a while and I think it’s just the right time,” Clancy said. “It’s pretty clear from a business point of view that the show plateaued.” Feitelberg believes the format of the show may have once been common, but it no longer fits into where podcasting is today.
