A name long familiar in national radio is being retired. Gemini XIII is folding the United Stations Radio Networks brand into a new company, Gemini Networks.
Gemini Networks brings radio, podcasts, streaming and YouTube under a single management team. USRN programming and services now sit alongside the Gemini XIII Podcast Network and YEA Podcast Network as part of the combined offering, Radio Ink reports.
Nick Verbitsky and Dick Clark founded United Stations in 1994. Verbitsky sold the company to Gemini XIII and CEO Spencer Brown in July 2023 for undisclosed terms.
The company says existing United Stations customers and partners won’t see changes to day-to-day programming, services or support, and Key-United continues as a joint sales venture with Key Networks. Gemini Networks President and COO Charles Steinhauer said having podcasting, streaming, broadcast radio, YouTube and social under one roof gives programming, talent and advertising partners a chance to use those assets together.
